Today is the day we’ve been building up to! Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is now out on Blu-ray! We wanted to make sure you were ready for it so we’ve rounded up our trio of recipes. Now you have a selection of themed appetizers all in one place. We’ll also share a few of our favorite bonus features!
As you may recall, we created a variety of recipes, all different from each other yet complimentary. They were:
Thermal Detonators– Our Thermal Detonators are turkey meatballs with explosive flavor. The heat comes from Sambal Oelek which can be increased or decreased depending on the desired heat level. The small amount of sesame oil in the meatball keeps them juicy and delicious!
Erso’s Homestead Salad– We wanted to make sure that in our trio of recipes we included a vegetarian option. This salad fits the bill and is reminiscent of the Erso’s Homestead on Lah’mu. The dressing can even be veganized by substituting regular Greek yogurt for almond milk Greek yogurt or coconut milk Greek Yogurt.
TIE Striker Appetizers– The last recipe we created was our TIE Striker Appetizers. We really wanted to create a recipe in the shape of one of the starfighters in the Star Wars Universe. With the TIE Striker being so prominent in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, they were a natural choice.
Since we received an advanced copy of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, we thought it would be fun to share our few of our favorite bonus features! All of the bonus were really fantastic and therefore hard to narrow down. However, we managed to select our 3 favorites!
K-2SO: The Droid– We really loved getting to learn more about how Alan Tudyk brought K-2SO to life. It was also really interesting to see the various ways they used motion capture to create the character. Did you know that Alan Tudyk was on stilts unless it was too dangerous of a scene?
The Rogue Idea– This feature was really fantastic! It focused on how the idea for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story came to be. It was great to see how all of the people involved in creating Rogue One: A Star Wars Story were die-hard fans of the series. This fandom was obviously integral in creating such a fantastic movie.
The Princess and The Governor– This feature focused on how the production team created the apperances of young Princess Leia and Governor Tarkin. It was nice to see that they decided that if it wasn’t close to perfect, they weren’t interested in including it. Also, getting to see the actors behind the virtual mask was really neat!

The blast did not destroy Scarif itself but dissipated its planetary shield and obliterated the Citadel Tower, as well as everyone in its vicinity. The Death Star's superlaser boiled the oceans of Scarif, burning a part of the planet's surface.
While Carrie Fisher didn't actually perform Rogue One's Princess Leia scene, the actress gave the moment her blessing. The final shot of Rogue One features Princess Leia being handed the Death Star plans obtained by the rebels, with Norwegian actress Ingvild Delia hired to play the role for the brief cameo.
But Rogue One had character, characters, heart, dialogue, grit, and pacing just as much as the original/classic trilogy had, and I feel is a welcome addition to be embraced. It truly made you cheer for the rebel alliance, and weep for their sacrifices against the fearsome Empire.
There's a high body count, as well as violence that's both large-scale (even the Death Star's early, limited attacks cause mass destruction) and up close and personal.
They'd also have had no way to get the plans to the Alliance without the fleet there to receive a transmission, so the mission would have failed too. Everyone on Scariff, rebel and Imperial died.
It can be seen several times in the massive battle sequence over the tropical world Scarif, memorably cruising by outside Admiral Raddus' command dome.
Jyn Erso is a fictional character in the Star Wars franchise, portrayed by English actress Felicity Jones in the 2016 film Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Jyn aids the Rebel Alliance in a desperate attempt to steal the plans to the Death Star, a weapon of the Galactic Empire with enough power to destroy an entire planet.
Ingvild Deila is a Norwegian actress, singer, artist, voiceover talent, and philomath. Her smallest yet most notable roles so far were portraying Princess Leia in Rogue One (2016) and playing opposite Robert Downey Jr. in Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015).
The Jedi he refers to is Obi-Wan Kenobi as he states “He served me well during the clone wars, I would trust him with my life.” Mon Mothma then tells him he will need to send someone he trusts, when he turns and says “I would trust her with my life” referring to his “daughter” Princess Leia Organa.
Director Orson Callan Krennic is a fictional character in the Star Wars franchise, portrayed by Australian actor Ben Mendelsohn in the 2016 film Rogue One as the main antagonist.
The moral of “Rogue One” is that the fight for what's right is bigger than any one person, and we must all be prepared to make sacrifices for hope to endure. It's a powerful message, especially as we start a new year, already marred by so much division.
Jyn and Cassian die in each others' arms on the beach of Scarif after transmitting the plans to the Rebel fleet above the planet, as the blast from the Death Star overwhelms them. Star Wars has gone to dark places before, but Rogue One's coda is an unexpected and emotional tragedy.
No, it is not adamant that you watch Solo or Rogue One, as they are side stories. However, if you want to know in-between details or want to view the entire thing correctly, I would recommend that you watch both. Rogue One is highly entertaining, as is Solo.
This hug is a legit Star Wars miracle, because Star Wars likes to go for the kiss — and Cassian and Jyn had enough chemistry to put Walter White out of business — and yet they don't kiss. Instead, they go for the hug, and it is sheer perfection.
The final scenes are the same that are at the beginning of A New Hope. Rogue One achieves all of this while still remaining kid friendly. There is no language, no sex and only some mild violence.
The ship, captained by Raymus Antilles and carrying Princess and Senator Leia Organa, jumped to hyperspace before it could be intercepted by the Devastator, thus ending the Battle of Scarif. Vader and his party then left the Profundity, after which it was destroyed, killing Raddus and the rest of the Rebel crew.
The planets that were destroyed were the Hosian system which at the time was the capitol of the New Republic, not Coruscant. The New Republic moved the capitol to distance themselves from the empire.
The city was destroyed in a matter of seconds and the shockwave moved the catacombs. Some of the partisans, except Gerrera made their escape. In his last moment alive, Gerrera simply said "Steela," the name of his sister, who had died during the Clone Wars.
