' Knowledge is Power'. But what if this power is misused. The 'NEET-NET exam leak and cancellation' has questioned the sanctity of the education sector. It has challenged the morality and ethics of people sitting in a power position that put the future of young minds at stake. Paper setters, subject experts, centres conducting exams, people on duty, coaching institutes, university professors, young aspirants, etc. everything has been put on stake and for what ' MONEY'. It is sad that we as a nation feel proud in singing laurels of our development and innovation but not able to provide a secure, stable and ethical environment to our young aspirants. So if we are against brain drain and don't want brilliant minds to move out of the country, we need to provide them with an ethical and progressive environment. #educationsector #ugc #ugcnet #neet #paperleak #questionpaperleak

I recently came across this 'MEDEA Awards' by that were seeking participation in different genres of media productions from short films to documentaries, blogging to Vlogging, school productions to professional submission. I found it to be exciting and thus visited their website to explore more of it. I landed at a page where they had an option of volunteering oneself as a judge for the awards where you will be shortlisted based on your experience related to the media field. Cutting the description short, it was great to evaluate the work going on in different genres of media and its penetration in different sectors.

Permitting graduate students with 75% to pursue a Ph.D degree by the UGC is not appreciable. Talking specifically about social sciences, bachelor students don't even study media research in their curriculum so how can they develop a research aptitude. I believe it's important to have an academicians viewpoint or a survey sort of thing from various universities before putting these ideas into practice. All fields are not the same and have different requirements , therefore the uniform rules and guidelines should not be implemented.

International Labour organization in collaboration with Institute of Human Development recently launched a report that stated, 83% of unemployed Indian population consists of Youth and this percentage is expected to increase with 7-8 million of labour adding to the existing population looking out for jobs. Well, these dwindling numbers are such a concern for the companies as well as people seeking jobs. Therefore, it is very important to look out for new job creation possibilities, promoting startups and bridging the gap between profiles available and required. #jobs #jobseekers #employment #jobproviders https://lnkd.in/gGX6eZyB

The past two days were full of learning new concepts and sharing experiences.During Media Conclave, we had an opportunity to interact with two experts from the media industry that excel in the field of audio visual storytelling. On 26th, we had Rajeev Raja , Founder of Soundsmith and Brandmusiq , who shared the art of Sonic branding and the way it is changing the way of reaching its consumers. From MOGO to musical branding, we learnt a lot about its creative process. The next day, we were introduced to the world of cinema, when Hardik Mehta, National Award winning director held a session with the faculty and students. From ideation to casting, screen writing to direction, he discussed all the parameters of film making.Last but not the least special mention to Amit Bapna who curated such an interactive session for us.

The last four days have been very enriching academically as well as culturally with Global Professors visiting Chitkara School of Mass Communication during 14th Global Week. From Digital Journalism, Film Appreciation and Digitalization and International Media, the professors covered various topics along with their enriching experiences in those fields. The sessions were not only about academic learning but also about cultural exchange. It was really overwhelming to interact and exchange views with Professors from Phillipines and Russia.
